East Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Gets Three New Pumps

The East Jakarta administration, received an additional three pump units for flood prevention from the Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Agency, on Thursday (9/30). Hereby, the existing pumps now reach 115 units, consisting of 40 stationary pumps and 75 mobile pumps.

Infrastructure Management Division Head, Ekhwan Maulani said, those new pumps consisted of one trailer No.1 mobile pump with 550 liters per second capacity, which is now being used to dredge up Tiu Reservoir in RT 03/04, Setu Urban Village, Cipayung.

Then two trailer no. 4 and 7 mobile pumps, which is now stored at the Kampung Pulo Pump House, Kali Ciliwung inspection road, RT 05/03, Kampung Melayu Urban Village, Jatinegara.

 

"Hopefully these pumps can optimally overcome the flood problem," he said.

Of 115 pumps, he added, 14 are currently being repaired, starting from two units of stationary pumps, one in Kebon Nanas with 1,000 liters per second capacity and in Bidara China with 100 liters per second capacity.

12 mobile pumps, consisting of one pump with 250 liters per second capacity which are being repaired, three indo pumps with 400 liters per second capacity and are still being repaired at the SDA Agency's Alkal UPT.

"Then eight floating mobile pumps with 50 liters per second capacity which are being repaired," he added.
